Franklin Jones, M.S, D.M.D
A family dentist dedicated to serving the Greater Birmingham Area
Dr. Franklin "Frankie" Jones is originally from Starkville, Mississippi. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University and his Masters of Biomedical Sciences and Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Since graduation from dental school, Dr. Frankie has made Alabama his home with his wife Elizabeth and their two dogs, Kate and Petey.
Even from a young age, Dr. Frankie enjoyed visiting his dentist and even worked as an assistant at his orthodontist's office. During his academic years, he traveled to Haiti for dental mission work and volunteered at the Jackson Free Dental Clinic. Dr. Frankie's passion for serving people and problem solving were key in his decision to become a dentist.
As a professional, Dr. Frankie ensures a safe, friendly, and personal approach to dentistry. He wants his patients to know that he listens and puts their goals first. Patient education is essential to Dr. Frankie; no matter the procedure, he will explain and answer any questions.
Outside the office, Dr. Frankie enjoys spoiling his little girl Margot, watersports on Smith Lake, listening to audiobooks and woodworking.

Elizabeth Lucas Jones D.M.D
Dr. Elizabeth was born and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Elizabeth then moved to Birmingham to complete her General Practice Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the Hospital Dentistry Clinic.
Dr. Elizabeth comes from a family of dentists, with both her parents and sister practicing general dentistry together in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Seeing first hand how her family cared for their community inspired Elizabeth to follow in their footsteps to become a dentist.
Dr. Elizabeth takes a personable and gentle approach to dentistry and strives to make her patients feel comfortable and heard in the dental chair. She enjoys using her creative skills to curate unique treatment plans catered to the patient’s specific needs.
Outside of the office, Dr. Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband Frankie and baby girl Margot, oil painting, spending time outdoors, spoiling her nephews Gray and Max, and cooking new recipes.

Khristin, Receptionist
Kristin has worked in dentistry for over 7 years, and enjoys helping patient understand their insurance benefits. She is the proud mother of two beautiful girls (Graham and Palmer) and enjoys spending free time with her family, exploring yard sales and thrifting!
Lauren, Dental Assistant
Lauren has been a part of the Highlands Dental Arts family since day one! She loves educating patients on their oral health, creating comfortable experiences for our patients, and rocking out to the office playlists. Out of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and three kiddos Jameson, Caleb, and Edie Rose!
